Announces Staff Changes

- The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau announces the following staff changes:
Julie Brackenbury has been named Director of Convention Services. Prior to joining the Bureau, Brackenbury was Group Sales Manager at the Washington Duke Inn with the target markets of associations and nonprofits. Prior to her previous position she was the Director of Sales for the Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau.

In her new position Brakenbury will provide and coordinate services once a meeting or convention has been confirmed for a Wake County property. She will also coordinate all Wake County Visitor Service programs such as the Way Finding program and the Destination Raleigh/Visitor Hospitality Program.

Paula McChristian has been named as Accountant and Project Coordinator. In this role, McChristian will be responsible for all financial aspects of the Bureau, as well as working in conjunction with the Bureau's seven-person sales team for trade show development and logistics. McChristian comes to the GRCVB from the Brain Injury Association of Florida where she served as director of administration for the statewide non-profit corporation since 2000.

Theresa Tyler has been named to the new position of Sports Services Manager. She will work to provide services to all sporting events including marketing and communication support, collateral requests and distribution, as well as providing an on-site presence at events. Tyler has been with the GRCVB for the past 17 years.

Tammy Jeffries has been named Convention Services Manager. In this role, Jeffries will work with the Director of Convention Services to provide support to meetings and groups in Wake County. Jeffries has been the Visitors Services Manager at the GRCVB since
